When I play on console I use mumble on my phone via wifi that way it doesn't cost money. It works really well on android and iOS. You can also hook up a keyboard to your PS4

In other online console games I've played, I have a hard enought time getting people to use the earpeice and mike that CAME WITH THE CONSOLE, never mind expecting everyone to have hookrf up some kind of special peripheral. Think PUGs are bad now? Wait until you try to run a dungeon were no-one can communicate with anyone else because typing Hello takes 15 seconds.
