so thats what those random messages were. i was wondering why weird messages kept popping up here and there. But good to see those people are getting their just desserts

This is awesome news. I saw one of their announcements yesterday about two dozen or so more bans.

I like this guy. He voices his thoughts like an average speaking person and not like a politician. It makes him sound unprofessional but yet it makes you feel like he's actually doing something about the problem and not just saying nothing in a big paragraph.

If they just put an announcement in the chat box it would be fine, but the screen pop messages that I have to hit OK to get rid of are annoying.

Agreed, most definitely. I love the fact they're taking an active role, and I guess they want the community to know they're doing something about the spam... but, really, the dialog boxes aren't necessary.

AMEN..... I don't know how many I had to click through over the weekend...and I know I wasn't on that much Sunday or Monday.

Maybe we should all post comments back to them that, it's greatly appreciated that they're taking action against these idiots...but the pop ups, especially in the middle of a fight is just as annoying!! Should be able to move that to the chat box...with a different color text...and if they really want...have it trigger an unobtrusive audio alert... hehe like a zap noise or better yet....a portion of the Taps music.. hehe

Think about it though (to play devil's advocate here). Gold farmers and spammers exist only because players buy gold from them. if the demand isn't there, the supply stagnates and the farmers disappear. Maybe the message are acting as a double deterrent to anyone thinking about buying gold that they may not want to be the cause of these messages. Just a thought.

I think it should be a big screen overlay, like when it announces to you that you gained a new rank. That would be super obvious, but wouldn't get in the way when you're mid combat.

They should set up a link allowing guild websites to show the Banhammer stats on their webpage. It's that awesome.
