I was looking around for a thread about this game but didn't see anything. The alpha on PS4 has been over for a couple of weeks now but I was wondering if any others are getting hyped for this game. I have never really been one for shooters but this was a lot of fun in Alpha and I am actually kinda interested in it now..

well, what I gleaned from Alpha was basically:
- core is a shooter a la Halo
- loot mechanic as a mix of borderlands or diablo without as much junk
- playing improves your character akin to a typical rpg
- all classes can use all weapons but each have a unique ability
- solo story maps, drop in co-op exploration and mission maps where you freely roam around exploring and find mission beacons that can lead you to a mini-boss type situation, and pvp maps
- you can improve your weapons, your mount (think star wars speeder), and your space ship
i don't really know why it is compelling but it was...and it was absolutely stunning looking on the ps4

Alpha was fun. I played it solo. I think it would be way more fun with a group of non-pug people fighting those world bosses. I died a bazillion times in that one instanced dungeon, so I guess I'm not the best fps player.

I haven't pre-ordered but am interested in a beta code...if you have pre-ordered apparently you get 3 beta keys....anyone pre-ordered with a spare key? :)

Of course, I'm on the PS4, thus... Ummm.
I am supposed to be getting one from 'random reddit user X' that I have been going back and forth with a bit for PS4 :) If you do get another one though I would take one since it apparently assigns you to a fireteam with that person and this way we could perhaps team up a bit :)
I enjoyed titan in the alpha, not sure if I want to do that again or try a different one...not that it seemed to make a huge difference thus far

well I am enjoying beta....only issue is I can't play it and FFXIV at the same time :/

Not confirmed as I didn't look it up, but given how MS likes to roll, PS3/PS4 are definitely same server (as character migration is seemless between the two) but I highly highly HIGHLY doubt Xbone and Sony are playing on the same servers.Quote:
