Guild Information

Aureus Knights is a premier guild built from the ground up to be well run so that we can focus on the most important thing: having fun.

In ArcheAge it is our goal to use our large community to create a guild that's able to be tackle and be competitive in all areas of the game. We plan on using our guild's VAST (we were a top RvR and WvW guild in WAR and GW2) experience in organized open world / mass PvP to dominate the battle field.

We will be playing on the Naima server on the West/Nuia faction.

Getting an Invite to the Guild
The guild is created, so find yourself an invite! How you ask? Any member (those with the rank Knight or greater) can invite to the guild, so hop on Mumble or find someone in game and they'll be able to invite.

Your best bet is to contact an officer (See the below officer team list)

I’m a new recruit how do I become a full Knight?
To become a full member of Aureus Knights recruits need to complete a trial of around two weeks. An officer will contact you in game once you've been invited to the Guild to start this trial. If you have started your trial, your rank will be Recruit in the Guild roster. If your rank is unprocessed that means your trial has yet to begin. If you are unprocessed and would like to start your trial feel free to contact any officer in the list below who has Recruitment as one of their officer roles.

Why ArcheAge for Aureus Knights?

Once upon a time there was a young guild who had a couple successes. It started out as a group of friends that grew in to a community that grew in to a PvP power house.

Wait what? This is actually the unlikely story of Aureus Knights and how we came to be a dominate force in Warhammer Online. Coming out of our first successful and large chapter in Vanguard we turned our attention to Warhammer Online. The idea of RvR excited us as fans of DAoC and we couldn't wait to experience the spiritual successor.

Now you have to understand where the guild was at this point, and it's actually very difficult since 99% of our members joined during or after Warhammer. In Vanguard we had around 40-50 members. By the time we launched in WAR we were at around 300. Overnight we had become this sprawling community. We were up for RvR.

Early on in Warhammer we dominated the lower level PvP lakes. We were coordinated, and importantly for that level, WE WERE LARGE. But in T2 and beyond a greater challenge was waiting. That challenge? Well some would say we made a mistake. Some would say our server choice was insane. Because we found ourselves as the largest Order guild. Going up against multiple guilds from the Something Awful community.

This was a zerg community made up of skilled gamers who had been playing together for years. Gulp.

But night after night Aureus Knights would set in stubbornly and we'd build up, push out and control the field. Zerg after zerg, 9/10 times we stood tall at the end of the night. From the ashes of those battles Aureus Knights was truly formed. Most of the CLT, many of our long time regulars all came from that era. While WAR was a flawed game the emergent game play that was available to us raised the level of fun we had well beyond the game itself.

So here we are with ArcheAge on the horizon. Yet again we have emergent PvP gameplay staring us in the face and this time we get the extra bonus of having a sandbox / world game on top of it. As a UO vet every feature I learn about just gets me more and more excited. As a guild master the potential for community building blows my mind.

So when we started discussing the chapter it didn't take long for me to jump up and down and say LET'S.DO.THIS.

I think Aureus Knights is going to be huge in ArcheAge. I think Aureus Knights is going to rise again to the PvP challenge and take the fight to our enemies and to assist our allies.

Never created a guild in AA heard about some faction thing to choose when creating the guild. I should be around Friday most of the day and can we about helping start it. Just wasn't sure about the faction thing.
