You have to turn it on. When you are in the shop screen click on the little gear icon in the top right of the store screen and set it to automatically sell all junk when you click on a vendor. It took me a week or so to figure it out myself.

Default Re: Your must have UI addons

My current list (some are still API8 and need to be force loaded), essential addons in blue:

AMP Finder - Adds tooltips to the amp screen telling you where you can get that amp
Athena - Permanent crafting discovery arrows
AuraMastery - Lets you show icons based on custom conditions, e.g. show an ignite icon with a count down while it's on an enemy so you know exactly when to refresh it.
AutoInviter - Automatically invite people who whisper you a custom string
BehavedGroupFinder - Hides the window from popping up again after joining a game.
BetterQuestLog - More useful/concise quest log
BijiPlates - Better unit plates (bars that appear above enemies). I'll likely switch to MinimalistPlates when it's more mature as it promises to be the same, but more efficient.
Book Level Icons - Shows which amps/recipes you can use in the guild bank, also adds new icons for each amp class, catalyst level, etc. Replaces the abandoned AmpClassIcons.
BuffFilter - Allow you to hide buffs and debuffs from yourself and targets. E.g. hide the always-on authenticator buff.
CandyBars - Replaces the stock action bars with customizable (size, shape, etc.) bars that take up less space.
CommodityStats - Adds CX pricing to item tooltips, charts historic pricing of CX & CREDD (just remember to scan the CX & open the CREDD window to feed it data).
CraftingMountFix - Autodismount at crafting station (I think this might be obsolete now?)
EasyPlant - Quickly replant your garden by right-clicking. Pops up a little menu of seeds and plants them for you with each click.
EntSpy - Draw icons on your screen for enemies, harvest nodes, objectives, etc. Can also draw lines. Makes Ayth_Quest obsolete.
EToolTip - Adds secondary stats to the item comparison tooltip
EzSocialBar - Adds a TOR style bar giving a count of online friends/guildies/unread mail
FieldOfViewCalculator - Makes it easy to set a custom FoV (AKA CustomFoV).
Fixed Chat Log - Forces profanity filter off, allows you to read alien (opposite faction) text.
FrenemyTelegraphs - Automatically toggle opposite faction telegraphs based on PvP flag. I.e. it hides them if they can't hurt you.
    GalaxyMeter - DPS meter
Generalist - Essential for altaholics. Lets you see what equipment/currency/rep/etc. your other characters have. Adds tooltips to amps so you know if your alt needs it.
Grid - Shows your party/raid as a customizable grid, allows mouseover targeting.
Guild Online Filter - Adds a checkbox to toggle offline players in the guild roster.
Hephaestus - Allows you to craft multiple simple crafts at once
IconLoot - Customizable loot notifications. Makes them nicer and lets you filter out signs.
InstanceTimer - Lets you know how much time you have left for a medal in a dungeon (or other instance).
InstantQuestAccept - Automatically accept all the quests when you talk to a NPC. Great for dailies.
    InstantQuestComplete - Automatically radio-in to hand-in/pick-up quests.
Interruptor - Shows a cast bar when you can/should interrupt enemies.
ItemPreviewImproved - Allows you to preview how equipment will look on your character.
    JunkIt - Autosell vendor trash.
LocalTime - Shows local time rather than server time.
LootRollEnhanced - Adds a summary of what other people have rolled to your need vs greed window.
MailHelper - Allows you to "get all" (items/gold) from your mailbox
MrFancyPants Equipment Manager - Helps you switch between eq sets (e.g. tank vs dps vs pvp).
NavMate - Adds more things to the minimap, lets you mute the taxi driver.
Neighbor Notes - Autoscans housing plots and makes a list of all the plugs people have. Lets you filter based on "my character can harvest" and quickly visit them all via /nnv
Newton - (Scientist only) Remember and autosummon your preferred Scanbot.
PotatoUI - Streamlined and customizable UI (health, focus, whatnot).
Primula - Achievement Enhancement - Improved achievement screen. Makes it way easier to figure out what that achievement you just got was for (click on it in the summary).
ProcsHUD - Shows an icon when a proc based (e.g. on crit) skill can be used.
Protostar Multifunction Tool - Gathering Tool Swapper - Autoswap between gathering tools for toons with two harvesting skills.
PurchaseConfirmation - Pops up a confirmation dialog for purchases at a custom threshold. Prevents expensive accidental purchases when you just wanted to see what an item would look like.
RareTracker - Lets you know when a rare mob is nearby.
RepairCostTooltip - Adds a tooltip with total cost to the repair button.
RestXPReminder - If you're not at your house replaces the logout button with a warp-to-house button.

The Visitor - Allows you to visit any player's (public) house by name.
ThreatMeter - Lets you know if you're about to get aggro (non-tank) or lose aggro (tank).
TrackMaster - Dependency of other addons for drawing lines on the screen.
Wild Notifications - Allows you to toggle on/off sound and text notifications for friends/guildies/circles going on/offline. I use it to turn off all sounds and hide circle notifications entirely.
WillYouBeMyNeighbour - Filter (e.g. T4 relic with >=50%) and auto-add neighbours from friends/guilds/circles. Autoaccepts neighbour invites. Required for tradeskill circles.
WoWChatColours - Customizable chat text colours. Defaults to WoW colouring.

I don't see it but I would add Sassy Builds to your list, Kowh. You can set up builds and save them for one click change out.
