Something to look forward to! To be honest, I like XIII, and enjoying Lightning's journey and curious how it will end. Trying to discern what the FATE level might be? And how long will this special event last?

Square Enix has released a new video detailing Lightning’s involvement in her previously announced crossover collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
Set to launch on November 14th – around the time Lightning Returns ships in Japan – FFXIV players will have the ability to participate in a periodic event known as a Full Active Time Event (FATE) and fight alongside the pink-haired heroine. Upon completing this event successfully, players can receive gear and weaponry modeled after those found in the original Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2 as well as Snow’s ice weapon from Lightning Returns.

There did seem to be a few locations in the backgrounds there. Perhaps there will be multiple fates to join so that'll help spread the population out. Or maybe it will be some sort of instanced fate. Regardless, sign me up!

One thing I didn't expect is that it appears Lightning is allied with the players. I was thinking that we would be fighting Lightning for some strange reason.
You can go anywhere you want in this world with a single blade.
This may be a virtual world, but I feel more alive here than in the real world.
