(JP) Final Fantasy XIV PS4 beta coming in February

Final Fantasy XIV’s PS4 version will be entering beta come February 22, 2014 when Sony’s next generation console launches in Japan.

Announced today at Sony’s Japanese press conference, SCEJA president Kawano revealed that fans looking to get their hands on the beta for the next generation version of the game will be able to do so come the launch date of PS4 in Japan. Furthermore, it was revealed that those who own the PS3 version will be able to obtain the PS4 version absolutely free of charge.

This is interesting, I hadn't bought the PS3 version because I was waiting for the PS4 one, now I'll buy it for sure

Now the question is... Is it for JP folks only (which would rude!)

Will there be a CE edition for the PS4? If so, what will differentiate this from the PS3 version??

Looks like I will have to get the PS3 version too. I was going to get it for my son to play with me on the PC, but held off because of the PS4 coming out which I will surely get.

It could never be just for the Japanese hopefully XD. I mean that would cause quite a ruckus amongst the NA players and the rest of the world. But I'll definitely get FF14 for the PS4, its the very reason why I held out on the PS3 version. I kinda want to play the game at the same capability my PC can or at least close to it. Also I would love if a CE edition comes with it but somehow I think they probably wont...
