I'm going to start off with a confession and we can take it from there: I started my own guild. Don't shoot! I'm not planning on leaving Aureus: I'm just creating a "guild bank" for my personal use. I believe that 1500 Influence will get me a 50-slot guild bank and lets face it: space is pretty much always at a premium and will only get tighter as I level up and accumulate items. Food alone is sucking up my inventory slots. Once i reach 1500 Inlfuence I'll be switching back to Aureus on a permanent basis.
Now that I've gotten the confession and reasoning out of the way, does anybody have some tips on the best way to earn Influence? I know I get a few for DEs and for loggin in every day (wich I plan on doing with both guilds) and I know I can earn some in PVP and WVW. Are there any specific tactics that I can use to speed up the process and earn some points on a regular basis?

For something as light as 1500 I think I'd recommend just spending the gold on buying it. I think it's the guild registrar NPC. You just talk to him and buy a banquet and boom influence.

So, on a related note, now that we're working on getting influence for guild missions (and the upgrades necessary to get their pre-req research) what are the most effective ways to quickly earn influence? I believe running events with guild-mates gets 10 influence per person representing the guild (minimum of 2). I think I saw that dungeons also boost influence, but I really don't know what the mechanic behind that is. What are some of the other major sources of influence?
