How does the multiplayer work? I've been quietly observing this game from afar.

This gives some basic information (there is more than 1 page), but a lot of stuff was not available during beta

Basically your city lives in a shared region, and what you do impacts the region in which you sit. If your city generates tons of tourism citizens from your neighbor's cities will come to your city to spend money if they aren't getting it from where they live. If you build a huge agricultural processing center you will be able to export to neighboring cities.
On the flip side if you have a huge crime problem then criminals from your city will start robbing banks in neighboring cities. (i wonder if you can build a city specifically for that.)
