The second game in the new "Wat Dis?" series (details here) is Dead by Daylight!

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught and killed.

Dead by Daylight came out this June after a pretty successful beta showing and has remained in the Top Sellers category on Steam ever since. It costs $19.99, but has been on sale several times. It recently had a patch that fixed a few issues and added a Survive with Friends option, allowing you to actually play with your Steam friends without having to form a full private game.

Playing with friends is where the real fun lies with Dead by Daylight, as the solo experience can often be frustrating, though it does provide an exhilarating experience when you are sitting in the quiet trying to avoid a killer. There's still a few matchmaking issues, and if you want to play as the killer, you need to be prepared to sit around for some time before you actually get a game.

The actual game mechanics are very basic, requiring you to use very few buttons, though some elements require some hardcore button mashing. The games can vary greatly in length, depending on if you get caught early or are successfully hiding and surviving. I've died in under 3 minutes, but I've also had games last up to 15-20 minutes.
