Default New Knight Ranking Permissions - FC Workshop open to all!

    Hi everyone!

One of the things that the officers have been discussing over the past couple of weeks has been the matter of our ranking permissions and privileges for knights. We have discussed a number of things, and many things are still being discussed but one of the outcomes of this is that we've decided to open up full workshop permissions to Knights.

However, there are a few rules and guidelines that need to be setup so that everything works smoothly.

    1. Please do not commence your project until you possess all of the materials you need to finish it. A great tool for finding what you need for a workshop craft is garland data (http://www.garlandtools.org/db/) it'll tell you what crafted and gathered mats you need for each phase and also features a checklist so that you can mark your progress towards having it all ready.

    2. Please do not start a craft if you don't have the ability to finish it, this means you should check two main things: (a: ) Do you have a party of 4 crafters, of which you are collectively capable of turning in all the mats you must contribute, seeing as you need to be the level of the crafted item in order to turn it in, just buying all the mats of the market board and turning them in without having the crafters leveled will not suffice. (b: ) You possess sufficient time to create your project. As a guideline, if you have all your mats ready beforehand it will probably take you between 10-15 mins to finish a house craft in the workshop assuming there are no holdups, so just make sure you have time to finish it, perhaps starting it 5 mins before you have to go to work isn't the wisest idea.

    3. Please be respectful of other people's projects, if you see somebodies craft in progress in the workshop, wait for them to finish, ideally, rule 1 and 2 are put in place to prevent this, but somebody may have accidentally missed a mat that they need to go and collect, or had to step away from their keyboard to do IRL things for a few minutes. So we ask that you be patient if there is currently a workshop craft in progress.

If for one reason or another, a craft is left unattended in the workshop with no signs of anyone working on it then it will eventually get cancelled and abandoned. This won't be done the second you leave your PC to get a drink or anything, but if someone else needs to use the workshop and there is a half-finished craft that's just been sitting there for a few days then it will be abandoned so that the person needing the workshop can use it.

We kindly ask that you follow these guidelines to avoid misunderstandings, holdups, and unnecessary drama involving the workshop, and we hope that you enjoy these new rank permissions

For those that don't know how to use the FC workshop, here is a quick guide I whipped up on the basics: http://www.aureusknights.com/showthr...262#post116262
