Spring 24 Hour Board Game Marathon (Toronto)

Hey guys,

I was thinking it would be really cool to get our 2016 Extra Life efforts in to high gear by way of a new Spring event. I was thinking we could do a 24 hour (maybe more if we raise a certain amount of money or something?) board game marathon at my condo in Toronto.

I'm thinking likely some time in April. Here's some thoughts I have on it, I'd love to hear feedback, interest level, etc.
- We would stream the whole thing on Twitch. I would setup two cameras (one overhead on the table, one capturing the room) and I think we could be charming and entertaining on the stream for 24+ hours.
- I'm thinking of requiring a certain donation level (even if its just 50 bucks) to participate. I do want to make sure we are raising money for the kiddos! I would make sure food, drinks and whatever else is provided and would make it worth everyone's while while still making sure we get some money in the bank for the kids!

Thoughts? Feelings? Anyone want to come? Let's do this!

I'd be down for something like this. my only concerns are timings and my capacity to afford travel. but if that's not something I can achieve for the event timing, that is not a problem.

It will certainly be challenging to stay conscious for 24 hours playing board games though unless they are really active or involved games.

Additionally RJO, this could be an option for such an event without needing the physically local interaction (although it would be preferred). Could handle the voices and such via Skype or something else.

I'm interested in this if we vassal. There's also lackey and OCTGN for card games, and skype for social interaction :P

yep, all of those things. ive only seen vassal done once with skype and playing BSG the board game. not sure how nutty it is to work the controls behind the scenes, but i think it's a lot of just right clicking options + knowing the game
