Default Use an Xbox controller? Trouble with Mumble? Recent Windows update may be to blame

    https://github.com/mumble-voip/mumble/issues/2104

    TLDR:
Windows update has an updated xbox one controller driver that conflicts with mumble
-push to talk will stop working
-closing mumble will leave a ghost process open
-each process will use 25-30% of your CPU
As many of us here do use mumble and this is a very new problem I figured some might find a post here helpful. As far as I can tell there's still no fix short of not updating.
A simple workaround is to unplug your controller if you have one, should prevent any issues. That being said it doesn't seem so significant but it's the sort of problem that will drive people insane if they're unaware of the cause.

Mumble has made a workaround for the driver changes, which is available in the latest snapshot build from their website.

Standing in fire keeps you warm; it doesn't mean you are bad, it means you are cozy.
