Now that we know what the 3 new jobs are and what they're going to do, I was wondering if anyone here is planning on making one of the new jobs their main when the expansion launches? I plan to have the Dark Knight as my main, unlock it ASAP and roll hard with it before doing much, if any, of the new story/area.

I can't really speak to a "main" yet. I mean, while Astrologian LOOKS cool, it might suck nuts.

As i said somewhere around.. Astrologian looks very appealing to me right now.
I kinda miss healing to be honest. Tanking too, but thats another story!

With 3.0, we'll be able to clear whatever turns are left(if any). And with the level cap going up, there will be some grinding and gear adjustment to take into consideration. So i believe that the firat few weeks of 3.0, nothing much will happen.

I plan to try Astro and level ot until cap/decide it sucks, then do the storyline. Then level whatever job(mostly nin), to resume raiding. But as with Ninja, i dont plan on doing any real stuff until a dps and heals are 60 and geared to that!

I'd rather farm T7 than T8 but I'll do whatever. Shiva's fun and we'll have a chance at weapons and wrists for alt jobs so I'm good either way. Also, Shiva = Chance at a Pony for Gwen!
