Someone has created a document showing the necessary materials to get all of the crafting discoveries in Tier 1. It seems like a nice "at a glance" view of what you need for your craft.

For all of the Rangers out there, here is an awesome video that shows all of the GW2 pets. After watching the video I'm pretty sure I'm switching my main to a Ranger and my alt to a Warrior. Also, the guy narrating the video is pretty funny :)
