Dungeons and Dragons Online is going free to play with the launch of the Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited beta.

I know in the past some members have enjoyed DDO but the price wasn't worth while or not enough people were playing - this might just be the cure to that!

They're going with micropayments and subscription incentives. If you go to the beta page and click on the "Already a Subscriber? You're getting an upgrade!" link you'll see they're introducing a VIP service:

Not if their entire society and culture focuses on them being zombie aliens. And God help them if they look like Humans with facial ridges and over-sized gloves.

I will say yes, and as we seem to got atleast a fair amount of interest, can we get a DDO casual forum i would like to start talking about classes, builds etc....

It'll be unofficial to start for sure... Any interest in this will be secondary for most people so hard to dedicate resources, etc.

We can form up a guild in the game, etc but it will be "casual" at best.

I'd like to check this out, but I think I'll definitely be trying out Champions soo...I dunno depends on when the beta ends.

If some was (hypothetically) in the CB, could he/she/it take the liberty of forming one up?

I am not sure if F2p accounts can even forms guilds, we may need an active subscriber, which i may or may not be in the near future, to set up and atleast be the in game leader of the guild....

I'll get a real account, make the guild, step down, making you the leader, then invite me back. Simple.

But the kobolds... those sneaky kobolds...
