Aureus Gaming Casual Corner - *Overwatch* Saturday 5/28 @ 9pm EDT

Our second event for the Aureus Gaming Casual Corner will take place on Saturday 5/28 @ 9pm EDT, and we'll be playing the hyped new release Overwatch!

We are opening it up to any folks that will be purchasing the game and are interested in participating. If we can get up to 12 people, we'll do a full custom 6v6 game!

It was definitely a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone that came out.

We actually fielded a full 12 and did a bunch of 6v6 games.

Unfortunately, even after testing my stream and recording, once we really got going, everything ended up stuttering very badly. It seems that once the action picks up, it just can't handle being streamed in 720p at 60fps. I've done plenty of stuff in 1440p (30fps) and 1080p (60fps), but Overwatch just doesn't like it. So, there aren't going to be any videos uploaded to YouTube, since the quality is so poor.

Most likely, we'll do Overwatch again this Saturday, but it'll only be 720p (30fps). It's not picture quality I'd like, but it's all that seems possible right now. For future, other games, we'll still do 720p(60fps) for the stream and 1080(60fps) for the recordings.

720p@30fps? What is this, a twitch stream for ants? ;)

That sounds fine to me, though. Anything is better than nothing! I'd offer to stream but I'm sure you have a better rig than I do at this point.
