Flight 8 - Tee Bee, Eh?

Cedric and I have been jointly in charge of Flight 8 for a while now, so since our roster has filled again it seemed like an ideal time to make an updated post.
(I'm posting, as Cedric can always edit my stuff if he so desires).

This is the new home of Flight 8 - They Beat Alexander.

The Loot Rules

Here in Flight 8 - True Blue Adventurers, we're pretty casual about loot. As far as alex normal and whatnot goes, we tend to just run it until we get everyone what they want.

As we progress into savage, we'll likely decide on a permanent system - We've considered Suicide Kings, but we'll chat as we move into it.

The Expectations

In Flight 8 - Those Bad-Asses, our primary goal is to have fun. That said, we're here to down bosses and get loot, so we do have some basic expectations of our members.

Attendance is a must - we can't progress if you're not here. If you're going to miss a raid night, please tell us in advance so we have time to find a replacement. If you miss a few raid nights without notifying us, we will have to replace you.

It's up to you to help us succeed - It's your job to know how to play your job optimally. The better each of us plays, the easier a time we'll have. If someone suggests an improvement you could make or offers insight into a mistake you have made, take that information and use it to better yourself. Hand in hand with this goes respect - Make sure that any criticism is constructive, and remember that we're all friends here, getting together to play a game.

Great first night in Savage! Once we've got the timing down on all of the Oppressor attacks, I think we'll be in great shape for clearing Floor 1. Glad we were finally able to get in there.

My apologies for the late notice guys, but I'm not going to be able to make it to the raid tonight due to moving stuff - I should be all moved by Tuesday, so I will be back on Thursday barring any complications.

Not this weekend, but next (September 11 - 13) I have larp, it shouldn't effect raiding, but mentioning it just in case.

I'm getting really burned out with FFXIV.

If you guys need me desperately, I'm willing to keep going for a bit, but I'm just kind of tired of the game. I can't make myself log on more often than just raid nights anymore, with how busy I am.
I'm just not getting enough enjoyment out of the game at the moment for it to feel worth it.

You should probably start looking for a new healer if you want to keep up with Savage progression - I just don't really have the passion for the game anymore to be able to keep up the esoteric farm and whatnot.
I might come back to the game for the next patch, but for the time being, I just don't have interest in it anymore. Burnout has got me.

I should hopefully be able to be there. I'm meeting up with my parents tonight, but that should be done before our raid time.

Hey guys, Meryn here. I'm just letting you know that my Internet has been poopy lately and there is a high possibility that it will interfere with raiding on Sunday (like it did on Thursday). I have learned not to expect much with my ISP.

Hey, Tetna here. So I'm finally at my new place, still waiting on all my stuff to get delivered,which I was just told probably won't happen until next week. Also, there's a couple different jobs I'm debating right now, one of which is night shift. So, I most likely wouldn't be available for raids on a consistent basis. So I completely understand if you guys want to get someone else in the group. Sorry about the lack of information, just got Internet set up here.

I'll get a new thread up once we've got the roster locked down, but I want to make sure everyone's going to be around later this week with 3.1 launching. I know Trufflepig still has people in town, but if everyone else is on, there are some potential DPS we can group with and new content we can get into.

I'll be on, for sure. Also glad to hear we have some new potential DPS.

Apparently the game seems to only approve of the Purest Form of Love™ since Nemu and I got good fortunes while Marshmallow and I got bad fortunes.

Maybe they just disapproved of you cheating on Marshmallow with Nemu? I mean you had just been there with someone else.

Hmm the roster is certainly outdated, but w/e since we are volatile right now anyways. Had a chat tonight and got some things out, so we know more about who wants to do what. Below is what we gathered from our preliminary discussion. Meryn is quitting when his sub runs out this Saturday, so that is one person we are guaranteed to need to replace.

People that have confirmed they want to keep playing and raiding: Nemu, Carlem, Zhara, Marsh, and myself. Marsh is wavering, might only stay another month or so.

People that have yet to confirm: Truffle and Eilri.

So we definitely need to replace Meryn, and might need to start looking casually for someone to replace Marsh in a month if he is still burned out. Not sure how interested Truffle is at this time given the time sink that Black Desert appears to be. I'm going to assume Eilri is only not playing because of her video card, though if that is the case it might be some time before she can get a new one. That might mean we are 2-3 people down for the foreseeable future, meaning we need to figure out this stuff relatively quickly in order to decide whether we are going to remain as a group that pugs several people each week and only does midas normal/seph ex, or whether we put on the breaks until next tier and let people do their own thing. I suppose relaxing our raid nights would allow people to shuffle around jobs/roles if they want a change. Either way, we need to hear back from Truffle and Eilri to figure this out anyways so let us know here or you can text me. If anyone else changes their mind in the next few days let us know as well. And be honest: I really do not want to raid with people that don't want to be there and only log on for the 3 hours at a time that we get together.

I've done a couple of testing replacements on my computer in the last few days and nothing's worked. I have a friend that's better at hardware than me coming to look at it tomorrow. He thinks it might be the processors. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to get a new computer. I have a laptop, it's more difficult to play on, but it's not currently in my presence and i'm working on getting it back from the one who borrowed it. I'm not going anywhere. When I spoke to truffle on Thursday, neither was he, but I'm not going to speak for him.

So I have to get a new computer, which means it's going to take time for me to get it. Also starting my new job. My schedule is random. I'm going to step out for now and get my life straight. :( I love you guys <3 I'll be back!

As things stand, our flight could currently use one non-WAR tank and one non-SCH healer.

After the month of training is up I'll be going to Part Time - but just this first week I've already worked over 40 hours because of missing people and trying to catch the pharmacy up. It's epic and I love it but ugh.

I should have my computer bought next week. I <3 you and I'll try to be back when I can.
