My office was actually the original phone company in this tiny town and I think the boss said it was built in 1910. Pretty sure the AC unit was installed in the 50s though as the repair guy we have to call a couple times a year says he can't even order parts for it anyhow because it's so old. If you didn't know, my boss is basically Ebeneezer Scrooge.

LOL she must be having hot flashes. I'm just always cold. You'd swear I was 80 years old. I'll be bundled up in sweaters freezing and people around the office will be talking about how warm it is...I'm like WTH how can you feel warm!?
Heh nah, she doesn't work at the office. Oh no, she works from home. So you can see why this isn't a priority.
Hmm... Reminds me of when I worked at Wal-Mart. They controled our AC and Heater from freaking Bentonville, Arkansas, or so we were told.Quote:

It's 49F here and I've still got a space heater pointed straight at my fingers because I work in the least-heated corner of a hundred year old building with inadequate heat. My coworkers are jealous of the space heater, but I think their part of the building is actually warmer than outside, so they can STFU.
(I know I shouldn't be complaining about the weather since it's not that cold here. I do feel really bad for everyone east of the Rockies; please be careful to retain all your appendages and don't breathe through your mouths while outdoors. I'm just saying that old buildings really suck sometimes.)
I have a foot rest that has a fan for hot summer days if the Ac isn't enough.
