i looked at some of the other Ls threads, and they seem to just be having conversations as well.

Ok, let's try that. My turn next. We're about seven down, should I bump now or wait a bit?

30 replying to the poll probably means 75 members at least (we have way more members who don't use the forums than we do those that do).

Which actually brings us to a problem ish. LSes and FCes have max sizes :). And we will get there quickly. We actually have a paid ad running on /r/FFXIV on Friday which will have us as a sponsored post while beta is up and people are at work chomping at the bit. So I'm not staying stop bumping, but we've basically achieved the momentum we need to. Once we reach a certain recruit and member size it becomes a freight train that will crash in to release

Okay, just to be clear, are you saying to stop bumping now?

Also, you know if we post that we are about to close recruitment there will be people who will want to get in on the action just because it is limited.

I'm sure there has to be some type of solution to that though... How many members can a FC hold? A single linkshell can have a maximum of 128 members, so there may be some options for multiple FC's with Linkshells attached to it.

Nah, we should still be trying to keep ourselves up there, the priority level has just dropped a notch. We can be a little less competitive about it. Not all the recruits we have will make it to beta (they'll go to other servers, not buy the game, etc - it happens) so it's important we have a solid pool.

We have a rule that we never technically stop recruiting so to comply with that we'd basically just have to stop recruiting. But we aren't there yet.
