I think Alex normal might be our best bet for now?
I would like to try my SMN in some actual raid-type environments. I got it up to i177. \o/

Well leveling my Mch is going smoothly I guess. 2nd day lvling it and it's already lvl 46 (almost 47). I'm glad the armory bonus is 100% below lvl 50...
So I should start the lvl 50-60 grind tonight or tomorrow, and according to my experience so far I should be lvl 60 a week or so after that.
So I should know if I'm going Brd or Mch by the time Arion gets back (and will buy the esoterics gear accordingly).
Gwen, how do you like to dps as a Smn compared to Mch? (I know they do more dps event with lower gear lvl)
And since I'm leveling my 5th battle job to 60, I cannot say that Zro is crazy anymore
I'm not crazy, I'm just prepared with options.

So last night was the test run of Gwen on her Smn in Alex normal and from what I heard she like it a lot more then Mch. So it's good :)
And with that, that pretty much seal my return to a support role. I liked it a lot in Coil and I should enjoy it in Alexander. I had my fun as a meele dps for a month or so and it's okay. For me it doesn't really matter what class or what role I'm playing, it's to have fun with you guys while we do clear and stay competitive with our really small raid time schedule.
What's left for me is to finish to level my Mch and decide which one I prefer between the 2 supports. It's "only" lvl 52 after the third leveling night, but if everything goes according to my estimate, I should be lvl 60 during the weekend. Cannot wait to be able to test both at lvl 60.
I'm still getting the hang of the rotation in actual combat, but I am liking it waaaaaay more. Once I've got the buttons on muscle memory, I'll start working on phase II: putting my pet on Obey all the time.

Bah it's nothing, I'm glad I you said you wanted to switch to another class before I bought my Esoterics weapon for my monk :P
And I was thinking about bringing my Brd (or Mch if ready) to Ravana, pretty sure the dps will not be that much lower (lots of downtime that make me loose Grease lightning) + foe in burst phase with 2 caster will be better.
Something I heard and we should try next time we are in A2 (normal or savage). If Gwen has all her dots on a target with 5 stack vuln and she uses Bane, I heard the dps is over the top and make the enrage timer trivial (a non-issue in normal mode).

My summoner is also pretty high (175) if we wanna move things around. The WHm is coming up but its not there yet.

At the end of the day, I think both support do about the same dps (at the same skill level), but with our current setup bard will be more useful and we will have an easier time meeting the dps check. Because foe is 10% (20% with battle voice) vs 5% for Mch. And in encounters like Faust, every dps increase count. I like bard, I just hate the look of it, most of the time. Mch gear is a lot better (to my eye at least).
Btw, ill be doing some overtime tomorrow. I figured it wouldnt matter much since Aelya is probably capped on everything already and Arion is gone to check on human ressources... ... .. .
Same thing probably in 4 weeks, and in 7weeks or something ^^
