Whew! That's a relief to see that nonsense has changed! And right after I asked the question, I actually saw the crafting forum - somehow I had been overlooking it. Thanks for the quick reply though, and it looks like I might be crafting this week!

I'm going to *cautiously* go with culinarian.... because I always seem to enjoy cooking-type crafts in MMOs. But I'm also quite interested in alchemy, so maybe that, too.

Will you be doing fishing and botany as well? Those tend to pair well with culinarian.

I focused on those three classes in 1.0 and found fishing to be frustratingly unhelpful for cooking. (Botany, of course, was great.) Hope they have fixed that, but I don't know since they've said they don't want fishing to be too valuable for crafting.
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
I'll be doing weaving since it's mainly because of what I'll be starting as, along with a couple others in which I'll be doing along with it though but not as much.

Yeah, that's the plan. I actually found both to be kind of...relaxing.

Yea after playing all the crafting classes I've found armorer to be the easiest and most enjoyable to level. I still want to do carpenter though.
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
I voted Weaver but will likely mess with Carpenter also.
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
I think it's the Alchemist that makes the pugalist weapons, so probably focus on that. Plus I wanna make pretty dyes!
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
I'm going carpenter on the off chance that high end people have nothing to blow their money on except for items for their houses.
-I'd like to see some top tier crafted armor before I sink a lot into it just to be dissapointed. Alla Fenris armor from Aion
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
no Vote options for Greedy Crafter or some sort? I probably going to level not 1 but multiple DOH at once ( currently GSM, BS, ARM, LTW, CRP, WVR ). Why so many? WVR is given, because if you leveling any DOH or DOL, need Weaver to make gears, LTW because of Belt, gloves and Shoes. GSM because all classes will need Rings, Bracelet, Neck piece, etc. CRP because it makes furniture down the road, BS because all classes need some sort of Main Hand. ARM not really connect with the rest, but, since I am going to dip into DRG, MRD, possibly GLD, gonna need some gears, and reason why mainly for Materia. more I can craft gears, higher chance of getting variation of materia. there are some Green Gears cannot be converted into Materia, craft gears takes a while to reach 100% bond, GSM probably the best way to get materia since multiple classes can use the same rings and such. and definitely Melding as well. yes i am greedy!!!:D
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
I want to go Carpenter and Cooking, they have always been my favorite tradeskills in other games. :)

Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
multiple for me as well. I'll start with alchemy and goldsmith since they are in my starting city but I will branch out and unlock everything for variety.
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
I'm going to do Armorer because I'm going to play as a Dragoon. Just makes since to be able to make gear for myself.
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
Does it count if i want to do all of them? Cause it's kinda what I'm already doing. CUL is a pain in the butt btw....
Re: *** Final Fantasy ARR Census: What crafting class do you intend to focus on? ***
Lol this is from all the way back in beta. It was just to see what your first crafting class was going to be. Interesting though I believe I choose armorer which I just got to 50 like a month ago and is my 3rd to last crafting class. All I have left is BSM which is like around lvl 18 I believe. The ixal beast tribes really power lvl the crap out of crafting classes. My BSM has literally only been equipped with the hammer for lvls 2-18.
