FF XIV’s 2.1 patch content includes Crystal Tower, familiar boss encounters

The biggest wave of additional content to grace Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be available to players come the 2.1 patch. As the first major patch post launch, 2.1 will introduce new areas such as the Crystal Tower as well as the classic bosses from Final Fantasy III that will inhabit it.

Additionally, Square Enix will be introducing the Wolves’ Den – a Player vs. Player style arena that will allow teams of four to compete against each other. Level requirements for this content will be available from level 30, 40 and 50. As a reward, players will earn a variety of different sets of gear depending on the class.

Player Housing will also make its debut, which will allow users to build homes or Free Company headquarters with over 300 different items for customization.
