Support Extra-Life, Support Your Guild and Guildmates
I'm not sure of how many of you know Tabrizia and Attriel but they have been long time guildmembers. In fact, outside of the founders, they are one of the first guild members in our guild. In addition to being our guildmates, they are also our friends and have been since our UO and Stratics days. Over the summer, their 5-year-old son fell out of a 3rd storey window and landed head and face first onto concrete. Poor little Desmond suffered severe and extensive skull and facial fractures. Thanks to the amazing team of doctors, nurses and staff at the children's hospital where he was taken (John Hopkins Children's Center) they saved his life. Not only did they save his life but he is a happy, healthy and normal little boy although to say he's normal is a bit of an understatement because Desmond has an exceptional mind and will, no doubt, do amazing things with his life.
You see, this charity isn't just a great charity that everyone should support but it's because of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals that Desmond is still alive and with us today. It's personal. It's our guildmates. It's our family because everyone in Aureus Knights is family. By supporting the guild and helping us raise funds for this organization you are helping our family and each other.
Post the donation links on your blogs. Post the donation links on your facebook. Donate, even if it is only $5 because every little bit helps. Convince your friends and your family to donate because wouldn't you like to know that there are places like the Children's Miracle Network hospitals available for you if something should happen to your kids? I know I would.
Our soft goal is $1000. Obviously, we'd like to earn more than that but we'd like to earn at least that much for this great organization.

This latest photo taken within the last week. Desmond is on the far right. His little sister, Eloise, who through quick thinking ran to Sarah to tell them that he fell out of the window is in the middle. His baby brother Sully is on the far left.

Thank you so much for posting this, Boosie. I am very happy you shared this, and am thrilled he is doing better.
Re: Donate to Extra-Life because it's personal to AKS
Here's a thread from our campaign from last year that explains a little bit of why this effort is so important to us. I'm happy to report a year later Desmond has recovered and he's gone from a terrible life threatening situation to being a normal little boy. This is thanks to Children's Miracle Network hospitals and that's why we are doing this.
Don't think of this as just us trying to raise money for charity - it's personal. It's about my kids, about your kids and changing lives by doing the things we love.
