More Neat Virtual Time Killers!
Hello comrades!
Earlier I posted a link to the Vassal Engine, which could run boardgames and some table top wargames (Like Warmachine).
Yesterday, I discovered LackeyCCG, which some of you may have heard of. It is like the above, but with card games in the vein of MTG etc.
Like Vassal, the client proper runs and manages various modules, but unlike Vassal, it allows the download of modules. The neat thing is that it downloads only the button configuration and text, and gets the images when needed. For me, this is rather irritating, but if you don't access the internet via tin-can phone analogues, you won't notice.
It also features a handy deck building tab, which can be ordered by set, card number, etc., but it is somewhat difficult to navigate, especially with older games, which contain more entries.
If you're looking for a game, just send me a bleep in raptor or x-fire; I have Magic and L5R set up at time of posting.
PS: Since all these games have rules online, just give me a heads up if you want to try one out, and I can demo it with you!
PPS: They've got the New Phyrexia expansion in already.
