Haven't used it but know one or two who do. they seem to love it.
I may just have to actually download it and be sociable.

Re: Joining us in Discord (Voice Chat!)
Important note for those with G-SYNC enabled cards/displays
The Discord desktop app is technically just a wrapper for their web app. (Functionality it's the same app, the desktop app just allows it to hook into the system processes to do fun things like push to talk and rendering the overlay.) Like many web apps, they leverage hardware acceleration to speed up the experience. This is all fine and well, but if you're using a G-SYNC enabled card and monitor and have the feature enabled for full screen AND windowed applications, your graphics drivers will be enabling G-SYNC for Discord too, which in some cases could hurt your performance in games, especially if you simultaneously do live streaming with OBS, XSplit, etc.
To fix this, do the following:
- Open NVIDIA control panel
- Select Manage 3D Settings from the left-hand sidebar
- Click the Program Settings tab
- Hit the Add button and choose to add Discord
- Scroll down to Monitor Technology and choose Fixed Refresh
- Scroll down to Preferred Refresh Rate and choose Highest Available
- Scroll down to Vertical Sync and choose Off
- Apply and restart Discord

Re: Joining us in Discord (Voice Chat!)
As an update to my previous post, Discord have just added an option to disable hardware acceleration! This fixes the G-SYNC issue mentioned above, and you might give this a try if you're having performance issues with your games while Discord is running in the background.
