Transferring Servers

Hey everyone, it's Ayuna...it makes me sad that I will be leaving AKS and transferring to tonberry...there's a number of reasons for this which I will go over.

1. Time zones, living in New Zealand with GMT +12 makes it impossible for me to ever get a flight or anything of the sort just because of the sheer amount of hours difference there is between New Zealand and the U.S, The FC also gets incredibly lonely after around 6-7:00 pm, with only a few night owls on...not to mention queue times are horrendous during these hours.

2. Ping, playing with 270 constant ping makes it very hard to be competitive especially in AOE heavy content, there are many cases where I appear to have dodged an AOE by 2 seconds and still get hit by it...you can imagine with the amount that high end content likes to spam AOEs that becomes a major problem...

3. One of my best IRL friends moved over to Tonberry recently (Korihu) and it would be really nice to have a real life friend I can play with.

Reasons to stay, absolutely none...other than of course AKS, which is the single best guild/clan/FC/whatever your game calls them.
I love you guys and you have no idea how much it pains me to leave such an amazing group of people...it really pains me to leave but I feel that at this point i'm just unable to grow as a player due to the limitations of both time zones and ping. I hope that I can stay in contact with you guys and that if the Tonberry thing doesn't work out you will welcome me back in. Like I've said before, it's been a blast guys and I will miss each and every one of you (yes...even Mai Fault) I wish you all well and the best of luck...i've given this weeks of thought and it was a tough decision but I hope you won't think less of me for it

I'm on one of the fiber hubs that crosses the Pacific so I get nearly the same ping to the US datacenter as Japan (80-100). I raised an alt on Tonberry for fun to see how group play is different on Japanese servers, and I had a good time over there. Seemed about 50/50 Aussie & Kiwis / Japanese.

English-speaking players will likely fill you in on the etiquette. I recommend making a few auto-translate macros for some equivalents of "hello nice to meet you" and "thank you for the party good job everyone".

It was hard to leave you guys too....I will try and get on the mumble but I will probably give it a week or so before I do, Just so I can properly acclimatize to my new FC...they will never be as good as AKS (We are no.1 after all) but they seem like a decent bunch. Hopefully I can keep my friends in AKS and make new friends in my new FC :)
