We're Back

Tokin (Gagtech) and I have returned to AA to play casually. A few others have returned as well such as Bowdre, Ninjak, Aaronfree, etc. Kinu is also most likely returning once he's back from one of his trips. We decided to join Iron Fist as one of our old AKS members (Diamond) is now an officer in that guild. Also we have a few other familiar faces in IF like Neoxide and Teteboy. If you're considering looking to come back to AA now would be a good time since the Naima server gets merged in mid September. Which means all new castle/land claims, higher population, and more to do. If you join now you'll have a few weeks to get leveled up to 55 before the merge. Also by joining IF we will be awarded a compensation package by Trion when the servers merge since IF has a castle. Tokin and I have been back a couple of days and overall things seem to be a lot more smoothed out, no more hackers and other issues we had dealt with in the past. There are also several new events that are really interesting. ArcheAge has been a lot of fun since Nalani and I started playing again a few days ago. They've made a lot of changes to the naval combat, and added a lot more things to do at end game. There are now ghost ships that roam the waters at certain times of day for guilds to destroy and plunder for phat loots. There's also more kraken fights/events to help players get gold as well. Iron Fist has been very welcoming to our members, so if you would like to start playing again, just send us a message in game and let us know and we'll get you to the right person!

You can also regrade parts of your ships now. Like the sails, rudders, propellants and things like that to make them better/faster/stronger/more defensive. Ships also now have carrying capacities so if you have too many people aboard each ship, they will slow down, and eventually sink.. Ships also have collisions now as well, Galleons can destroy clippers if they get rammed.

Sorry you two. I'd absolutely LOVE to play anything else with the two of ya again (I miss you both!) but I'm completely done with Trion and AA. After the cash grab that was last time, combined with them mysteriously not processing my cancellations for 5 months straight, I just can't stomach giving any of their games so much as an extra log in.

That said, I hope that the game is an absolute blast for ya and that it does hold up and keep you interested. I'd love it if the two of ya would hit me up on Steam or the bnet launcher just in case we end up playing the same thing at the same time later on. A bunch of us are planning to demolish Diablo III for a while when the new season starts on Friday. And of course AKS being AKS, I'm sure we'll be active in a good % of the upcoming MMOs. Maybe there'll be some overlap! (I'll even check out Black Desert since you're going to be there)

Aww shame we would have loved to see you guys. It's actually been pretty fun! Seems a lot has changed. Also there are so many new ways to earn lots of gold daily so you can easily cover patron in like 2 days of events.

Hey guys! I just wanted to post an update about this. So far back from the original AKS AA team we have: Myself, Tokin, Diamond (Whos is now an officer of IF), Neoxide, Teteboy, Ninjak, Aaronfree, Lentulus, Kinu, Redenzione, Bowdre and some others! The server is being merged the 10th-12th and once it comes back up we are forming a new guild called Incendiary. The reason for this is because the current IF guild has broken away from the original IF gaming community since the majority of the old IF no longer play. So we will be merging IF and a few other smaller groups together and reforming on the new server to have a fresh image etc. I still am of the opinion that so far things seem to be greatly improved from when we originally played in regard to the fact that it seems like they've really cleaned up their act. I haven't seen any instances of gold sellers, land hackers and such since we returned a few weeks ago. Tokin and I have been having a lot of fun with all the new events and with the merge coming there will be a lot more content to explore. If you're concerned about paying for Patron accounts, really you don't need to be since there are very easy ways to make gold now by doing some of the daily events like Abyssal Kraken, which lets you make 70g per pack crafted. A few of those a week is enough to cover a patron account for a month if you save it up. It's pretty easy to make enough gold in a months time of playing to avoid the cash shop temptations. Also with the merge happening in a few days there will be a whole new land rush so now is a prime time to return because you'd be able to have a chance to snag up some properties. They are also expanding some land masses in places like Diamond Shores so there will be completely new housing areas opening up. Anyway, would be nice to see even more of the old team back together! Yes, IronFist is really not the same guild that it used to be. It has all new leadership. (None of the old IF leadership is around anymore)

A lot of the guild feels has been very similar to what AKS was, and have been very helpful towards our return to the game. So if you're looking to start playing the game again, I do recommend you guys check them out!

Some changes since a lot of you last played that are coming in 2.0

Actual guild management. (Guild levels, 100 player cap, guild vs guild wars and rewards (You can declare wars on guilds 3x a day. Winner gets rewards, but losers get some rewards as well), in game recruit tools)
Ship regrades (Ships now have player limits before they will sink. You can also regrade every part of your ship. Sails, cannons, rudders, propulsion, etc)
Lots of new PVE Content
New housing zones.
The list is longer, but there's lots of stuff coming!

I came back a few weeks ago too and have been playing casually just getting back into the game. Did a lot of Abyssal runs with both guys from Moonlight Retribution and The Brotherhood and ended up joining them just as I discovered Diamond was around and in IF. So never got around to apply because I had a foot in the Brotherhood-door so to speak. But the way it sounds, IF is no longer the IF that were around when we used to play and the fact that all of you are back in Incendiary too makes me want to come over post-merge.
