Extra Life 2017 - Fundraise, Donate, and Play - Help Raise Money for Children!

Another year of Extra Life and Aureus Knights giving back to the community has arrived! To date we've raised over $18k for children's hospitals in our communities and I'm incredibly proud to see that tradition continue for a sixth year!

You can join our team! Whether you plan on doing the 24 hour gaming marathon or other events with us or just want to utilize your social network to help raise funds for this amazing cause WE WANT YOU! Join our team by visiting this page.

Don't forget, you can contribute to your own pool and get your fundraising off to a killer start! I personally am going to be setting up a recurring donation on my middle-of-the-month pay cheque for the rest of the year. I usually use some cash off that pay cheque to buy stupid pixel crack (I own every WoW sparkle pony, I have no shame) but for the rest of the year I'll be diverting some of those funds to my charity efforts. I'll cut down on my sparkle pony habit for the children!

Tell your friends!

Whether you are registered or not as a team member you can help us reach your friends and family. Our team page has some great social buttons (down in the lower right corner) or you can email/talk face to face/telephone/or any other means to get the word out.

The responses we get to raising awareness for our fundraising efforts are almost always positive with our friends and family. This is a great cause and is worthy of a facebook post or two!

As this weekend progresses we will be doing events to raise money for Extra Life - Watch this forum for more details as events go down!

Thanks to Crunchy's awesome efforts this weekend we've already surpassed our $3,000 goal for this year. So what do we do now? We come together two weeks for now and we smash our previous record of $3,747. Let's hit $6,000 this year guys, I think it won't even be difficult.

The Xan Fam is going to try to do a one night per week event from now until the end of the year to continue raising money until the deadline. Hoping our family can bring in over $1000 this year. Do they close down 2016 on December 31 or is it earlier than that?
