Gardening for Gil
So in doing some reading with culinarian this morning i noted that HQ Dz Tomato can fetch quite a pretty penny. Are there similar crops that are valuable like this? Granted, if someone is already rocking the market on a crop, let me know, I don't want to step on toes. I am just trying to weigh my options out for potentially buying a small personal house to garden on (given my recent windfall of gil from certain extra curricular events).
I am also going to be leveling up Culinarian, so this will also serve as a means to generate my own reagents for crafting, but that is going to be a bit farther off.
What insights can you all share with me? :raptor:

Re: Gardening for Gil
If you mean these tomatoes you don't have get these from gardening. If you have botanist leveled you can gather them SW of wineport at around 1pm eorzea time. Most everything I use for culinarian, is all picked up from gathering, especially while you're leveling.
I don't know if you plan on leveling gathering jobs at all, but a lot of the stuff you can pick up that is used for cul usually sells pretty well. If I'm in an area for the rare spawns I will usually pick those up and toss them on the MB for some easy gil. Black Truffles, prickly pineapples, etc. All handy.
I haven't done much of the actual gardening though. But the food for chocobos sells pretty well from what I've seen. 7-9k a piece based on what I have been buying. Anything that is only picked up from gardening, cross breeding, will usually fetch a good price on the MB. I do understand Gwen is some kind of gardening master so...she might be able to help with that side a bit more.

Re: Gardening for Gil
Dz tomates are used to make the relish which in turn is traded for artisan's specticulars in MD then desyth into a master materia used to make end game crafter/gathering gear. The master materia is like 500-600k on the mb normally. You can get on this market if you want as it wont affect much in terms of supply demand. Also you can sell directly to me if you want to avoid mb tax fee.
