ArcheAge Chapter Closure

Good evening all,

I hope everyone is having a happy Thanksgiving!

I'm writing to you this evening to inform you that the Community Leadership and ArcheAge Chapter Officer teams have agreed to close down our ArcheAge chapter effective immediately. While the guild and the game started off strong very rapidly, by and large due to decisions made by XL Games and Trion we've seen a VERY VERY rapid decrease in population in the game that has impacted all guilds and the wider community. It is our view at this point there is no long term viable future for the game and for us in the game.

We are not recommending a destination guild for those that decide to stick to the game. We do not believe there is a guild of our level of standard left in the game and we cannot in good conscience make a recommendation.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the chapter and a special thanks to the chapter officer team who volunteered their time to make a go of it.

So much I liked. I hope there is something similar soon, minus all the bullshit.

Everyone come play FFXIV with us! It's really good and there's so much more in store for it that it's mind-blowing. I think there is a sale currently on Amazon to pick up the game for just 10 dollars. That's a great deal for a month of trial free playage before you decide if you want to subscribe.

I didn't play the game past beta, but I know just from my daily conversations with the Officers just what a tremendous amount of love and effort went into this chapter. It's a shame things went as they did with the game, but you should all feel proud of what you accomplished there in spite of those problems.

Commendable decision; and I believe the officers have done their job in this chapter. The game and the companies managing it, however, have not.
Should maybe teach one or two lessons to Western publishers deciding to launch the game of another company on their own soil if they cannot get access to code base to perform required fixes.

In the end; those who (rage) quit very early and called it a 'cash grab' remain proven right...

I will be continuing to keep the AKS guild in AA for the foreseeable future. If you still wish to play under our banner then please do so. If not, I wish you luck in wherever you end up.

I plan to still play AA as well, so if you need anything, such as assistance, let me know. I have time left until january so.

Their marketplace bear that is basically a copy of the farmable bear shows how they only want to make as much money as possible. So much could of come out of this game if it wasn't from Trion :(
