Keep Upkeep Costs
Has anyone heard what the cost is hourly on keep upkeep as of yet when a guild claims a keep?
I know we're not there yet, but taking and claiming keeps for the guild isn't that far away. I also know (and fully support) that there will never be a guild tax. Many (myself included, once I made sure I'd have mount and last name cash at 20) are tithing 10% to the guild coffers to take care of stuff like this.
Still, has anyone heard specific numbers on this? I haven't found any, but some rumors say things like 20 gold an hour.

I've heard about it but good thing you brought it up.
This leads to guild tithing, I currently have mine set to at least 5% ever since we hit level 5. With obviously the higher rank, the more the money is sent to the guild. Even though I don't know the rough numbers of an upkeep, I would still think its important that every member pitch in.

I've had mine set at 10% ever since 20 also. Honestly I see no reason I couldn't set it to 20% or more and still make out like a bandit.

There doesn't seem to be too much to spend gold on in game. Frankly I'm amazed at the amount of gold spam I got before getting that add-on. Mounts are easily affordable, so I can't imagine anyone buying gold. Anyway, back to the point though, I don't think we'll have too much trouble managing upkeep costs as gold is very easy to come by. With AOE grinding, and usually a pretty full inventory, I don't have time or room pick up much. I have my tithe set and still have almost 100g. I personally would be in favor of a guild tax to handle upkeep costs as I really can't see a situation where anyone would be hurt by a modest tax.

Since I rerolled a Archmage as my main I have tythed 10% since creation. I am presently 16 and already have enough for my mount, so I agree that I cant see where anyone would be crushed by contributing. But, I have not heard what the actual numbers are for Keep upkeep. At 20 I plan to up my tythe probably to 20% unless something changes between now and then. I love this guild and all the members and would gladly give more as a tax as well but, I know where the guild management stands on this matter.

To give an idea - we've taken virtually no gold from the bank (I think we've made one withdrawal to buy a standard) and currently have 20 gold in the bank - so having no mandatory tax or tithe rate we've done ok and I anticipate now that we are getting in to Tier 3 where body drops give more and more cash (remember tithing only withdraws from body coin drops) we'll be even better.
No one knows what the rates are for sure yet but one guild said after taking a keep there was a "huge withdrawal from their bank". So we'll see what it takes out when we get there and decide what to do from there (it won't be a tax rate but we might step up calls for donations or some such - again I'd rather indulge the gold sellers then tax you guys)

Obviously, nobody is required to tithe, but I have had a few questions about it, so...
When you go into your guild tab, click on the "Rewards" tab (I believe thats what its called) on the top right. On the left side of that you will see that at GR 2 I believe, there is a clicky for "Tithe". Once you click on that, you will get a box where you can put a percentage of your mob drop money to the guild bank. So, if you change it to 10, 10% of your dropped money from that point on will go to the guild bank. It will not take any of your current cash out when you do that, just what you get from drops from that point on. Ive noticed personally that since cash is so plentiful in this game, I don't even notice it.
Again, the guild has no required tithe so if you would prefer not to tithe cash that is absolutely fine.

C'mon guys, don't think of it as a tithe and give 10%, think of it as a TAX and give 40%!
